DAVIDSON, John Hugh
John Hugh Davidson was born in Glasgow but grew up in eastern Canada. He is bilingual in English and French and, as well as a Master’s Degree in Economics, has been granted a Diplôme d’études françaises (Littérature) from the Ministère de l’education nationale de la France in Paris.
Davidson has published a number of novellas and short stories in The Tamarack Review, The Canadian Forum and on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s radio service. He has received arts grants from the governments of Saskatchewan and Ontario in Canada.
Davidson was a financial analyst and journalist in Hong Kong for ten years before the handover to China in 1997 and has written a trilogy of novels (Nana Nice Girl, Duke & the Dominatrix and SANT) based on his Asian experiences in India, Nepal, Macao and Thailand.
He now lives in the Canadian province of Québec and is writing a quartet of Crime novels set in Montreal and New York City.
