Will Elliott is a 28 year old writer who lived below the poverty line while honing his craft.

His début novel, The Pilo Family Circus, was published after winning the ABC Fiction Award, beating 900 entries from across Australia.

Once published, it co-won the Aurealis award for best horror, won the Golden Aurealis for best novel, the Australian Shadows Award, the Ditmar, the Sydney Morning Herald “Best Young Novelist Award” for 2007, and was short-listed for the 2007 International Horror Guild Award, up against, among others, Stephen King.

The book has been published in Australia, the UK, The US, Italy, Sweden and Germany and will is now working on a fantasy trilogy which has already sold to HarperCollins Australia, along with his superb stand-alone darkly comic fantasy novel Nightfall.

His influences range from Stephen King, Clive Barker and Lovecraft, to George Saunders, Tristan Egolf, Mervyn Peake and Jasper Fforde.

He lives in Brisbane, Australia.
