Demonic cars in Germany! Ben Aaronovitch & Andrew Cartmel’s AUTOWAHN is out now…

DIE FLÜSSE VON LONDON: AUTOWAHN, the first book in Ben Aaronovitch and Andrew Cartmel‘s Rivers of London comic series is out now in Germany! Translated by Kerstin Fricke, the book is published by Panini. Here’s the synopsis…

Published in English as BODY WORK, the series is published by Titan Comics. Here’s the English-language synopsis…

Peter Grant looks look your average London police officer, but he is actually a part-time wizard in a very elite branch of the Metropolitan Police. It’s his job to investigate those crimes that regular cops don’t like to talk about because they often involve vampires or strange things in Underground tunnels.

Peter’s latest case features a self-driving killer automobile, a Serbian refugee, the Most Haunted Car in England, a handsome drug dealer with a nice paisley scarf and a seemingly harmless wooden bench with a dark past!

Titan Comics has also published the subsequent Rivers of London comic series: NIGHT WITCH, BLACK MOULD, DETECTIVE STORIES, CRY FOX and WATER WEED (with more on the way). Series art is by Lee Sullivan, colours by Luis Guerrero.

Next month (August 9th, to be exact), Jo Fletcher Books is due to published the long-awaited conclusion to Charlaine Harris and Christopher Golden‘s Cemetery Girl comic trilogy, HAUNTED! Here’s the synopsis…

Calexa Rose Dunhill died once, just for a moment — but now someone wants her dead permanently…

They call her the Ghost of Dunhill Cemetery, but most people think ‘the Cemetery Girl’ is just a story. In some ways, that’s true. Her chosen name is Calexa Rose Dunhill, but she doesn’t know her real name. When she first arrived here, all she knew was that someone had tried to murder her: they’d dumped her body and left her for dead. Calexa has been hiding out here, afraid to seek out her true identity for fear that her would-be murderer would find her and finish the job. And someone is searching for her… a man named Salazar, who holds the key that will unlock the secrets of Calexa’s past.

Calexa has new secrets as well, including the fact that she was murdered: she did die, if only for a moment — but in that moment, something changed inside her. Now, if someone dies near her, their spirit is drawn to Calexa, drawn into her. It has happened twice before, but now, as her worst fears come true and the killers have found her trail, the third ghost to take up residence in Calexa’s soul will change everything…

The first two books in the series are available in print and digital, also published by Jo Fletcher Books: THE PRETENDERS and INHERITANCE.

Charlaine Harris is the bestselling author of the Sookie Stackhouse/True Blood series (Gollancz), the Midnight Texas series (Gollancz), the Aurora Teagarden series (Piatkus) and the upcoming Gunnie Rose series (Piatkus).
