The second issue in Ben Aaronovitch and Andrew Cartmel‘s RIVERS OF LONDON: BODY WORK series is published tomorrow! Spinning off from Ben’s critically-acclaimed and award-winning Peter Grant urban fantasy series, the comic is published by Titan Comics. Here’s the synopsis…

Peter Grant – full-time cop and trainee wizard with London’s police force – is investigating why cars are suddenly turning from mild-mannered family saloons into possessed, power-assisted killing machines! Airbags will not save your life!

The series is illustrated by Lee Sullivan and coloured by Luis Guerrero. The third issue is due out on September 16th, 2015, and here’s the cover…

The Peter Grant series is published in the UK by Gollancz, and so far includes: RIVERS OF LONDON, MOON OVER SOHO, WHISPERS UNDERGROUND, BROKEN HOMES, FOXGLOVE SUMMER and the upcoming THE HANGING TREE. The first three novels are published in the US by Del Rey, the second three by DAW Books. The events covered by the comic take place between BROKEN HOMES and FOXGLOVE SUMMER.

RIVERS OF LONDON: BODY WORK #1 Out This Week!

The first issue in RIVERS OF LONDON: BODY WORK is published this Wednesday by Titan Comics! Written by Ben Aaronovitch and Andrew Cartmel, it expands on the characters and world Ben created in the best-selling Peter Grant series of urban fantasy novels. In addition to the main cover, there are two variant covers (all three above). Here’s the synopsis for issue one…

Peter Grant is one of only two members of a very special branch of London’s Metropolitan Police. He is, in fact, pretty much a wizard and it’s his job to investigate those shadowy crimes that involve urban vampires, weird folk in the underground and, in this case, why cars are suddenly taking on lives of their own and killing innocent folk

Art is provided by Lee Sullivan, colours by Luis Guerrero and lettering by Rona Simpson. The rest of the series will be published monthly. Here are the covers for issues two and three…

New RIVERS OF LONDON: BODY WORK Cover, Trailer and Preview

The release date for RIVERS OF LONDON: BODY WORK #1 is nearly upon us (July 15th). BODY WORK is the highly-anticipated comic series set in the world of Ben Aaronovitch‘s best-selling Peter Grant series, due to be published by Titan Comics. The comics are also written by Ben Aaronovitch, in collaboration with Andrew Cartmel. and celebrate we have a few more things to share. First is the variant cover, above, based on a painting by Wayne Reynolds.

Ben Aaronovitch‘s Peter Grant series has been a huge success, and only becomes more popular with the release of each new novel. FOXGLOVE SUMMER, the fifth book, was released last month in the UK by Gollancz, and will be published in the US by DAW Books in January. The series has also been optioned for television.

Today, we share with you the cover for the first graphic novel set in the RIVERS OF LONDON universe, BODY WORK! Adapted for the medium by Ben himself and Andrew Cartmel, the book will be published by Titan Comics in 2015. Details are still a little thin on the ground, but we’ll be sure to share them with you as soon as we have them.

The Peter Grant series includes: RIVERS OF LONDON, MOON OVER SOHO, WHISPERS UNDERGROUND, BROKEN HOMES and FOXGLOVE SUMMER. Ben is currently at work on the next book in the series.
