To celebrate the recent release of THE SKULL THRONE in paperback, the incredible success of the Demon Cycle series and also Peter V. Brett‘s birthday, Voyager have declared February 8th to be Demon Cycle Day! Across the internet and social media, you’ll be able to find reviews, competitions and giveaways, all related to Peter’s fantastic series. With the fast-approaching publication of the fourth novel in Peter V. Brett‘s Demon Cycle series, THE SKULL THRONE, Voyager Books has released an eBundle in the UK. The bundle collects the first three novels in the series – THE PAINTED MAN, THE DESERT SPEAR and THE DAYLIGHT WAR – along with the novellas THE GREAT BAZAAR AND BRAYAN’S GOLD and MESSENGER’S LEGACY.

New Peter V. Brett Audio Editions this week!

The audio editions of Peter V. Brett‘s Demon Cycle novels are being re-released this week. Available from November 27th (Thursday), the novels and two novellas have been rerecorded by Harper Voyager/HarperCollins Audio. With the fourth novel in the series, THE SKULL THRONE, fast approaching, this is a great opportunity to get caught up on the audiobooks. Peter V. Brett Signing at Forbidden Planet Tomorrow!

Tomorrow, the great Peter V. Brett will be signing copies of his books at Forbidden Planet in London! The event starts at 1pm. When Peter was last in the UK (2012), his signing at Forbidden Planet was a big hit, and we are expecting much the same this year. So, be sure to arrive early!

Multiple Award Nominations for Zeno Clients!

This past weekend, a number of award shortlists were announced, and we’re very happy to report that a handful of Zeno authors are represented! (As well they should be!)

First up, two of our clients have been nominated for Hugo Awards!

In the Best Novel category, the whole of The Wheel of Time epic fantasy series has been nominated (as a single entity). This series, began by the late Robert Jordan, was completed by Brandon Sanderson, who finished the three final novels in the series – THE GATHERING STORM, TOWERS OF MIDNIGHT, and A MEMORY OF LIGHT (all published in the UK by Orbit).

In the Best Novelette category, Aliette de Bodard‘s ‘The Waiting Stars’ has been nominated. The story first appeared in THE OTHER HALF OF THE SKY, published by Candlemark & Gleam. Back in February, we reported that ‘The Waiting Stars’ was also nominated for a Nebula Award. ‘The Waiting Stars’ is also available to read, free, on Aliette’s website.

The Hugo Awards will be presented at Loncon 3, in London, UK, on August 17, 2014.

Secondly, two Zeno clients also made it onto a Gemmell Awards shortlist, for the Legend Award (best fantasy)! We mentioned them briefly on the blog in March, as they (obviously) made the long-list, but we’re very happy to see Peter V. Brett‘s THE DAYLIGHT WAR (Voyager) and Brandon Sanderson‘s A MEMORY OF LIGHT (Orbit) make it to the final selection round.

The Shortlist is open for voting now, until the end of April. The winner will be announced at the Gemmell Award ceremony at the Magic Circle, London, on June 13th, 2014.

New UK Narrator for Peter V. Brett’s Demon Cycle novels!

We’re very happy to announce that a new narrator for Peter V. Brett‘s UK audiobooks has been announced! After auditioning a string of talented actors, Peter selected Colin Mace for new editions of all of his Demon Cycle fiction. Colin will be re-recording the three novels to date – THE PAINTED MAN, THE DESERT SPEAR and THE DAYLIGHT WAR – plus Brett’s two short stories set in the same world, THE GREAT BAZAAR and BRAYAN’S GOLD (also collected in a very nice hardcover edition). All of the novels, as well as the audio editions, are published in the UK by Voyager Books, Harper Collins.

Happy Publication Day… The Daylight War by Peter V. Brett

Today Peter V. Brett’s highly anticipated third novel, THE DAYLIGHT WAR (Voyager), finally hits bookstores. It is this latest installment in Brett’s incredibly popular and internationally best-selling Demon Cycle fantasy series, he continues the epic tale of humanity’s last stand against an army of demons that rise each night to prey on mankind.
