Titan Comics has published all of the critically-acclaimed Rivers of London comic series so far. The first five are available in collected editions, now, and WATER WEED will be collected later this year. All of the comics have been illustrated by Lee Sullivan, and coloured by Luis Guerrero.

The Rivers of London comics are set in the Peter Grant universe of Ben’s best-selling, critically-acclaimed novels. Later this year, the seventh instalment is due to be published: LIES SLEEPING! The first six novels and first novella are out now! The novels are published by Gollancz in the UK; Del Rey (1-3) and DAW Books (4-7) in the US; and widely in translation (check out Ben’s page for more details). The novella, THE FURTHEST STATION, is published in the US by Subterranean Press.

Peter Grant looks look your average London police officer, but he is actually a part-time wizard in a very elite branch of the Metropolitan Police. It’s his job to investigate those crimes that regular cops don’t like to talk about because they often involve vampires or strange things in Underground tunnels.

Peter’s latest case features a self-driving killer automobile, a Serbian refugee, the Most Haunted Car in England, a handsome drug dealer with a nice paisley scarf and a seemingly harmless wooden bench with a dark past! 

Titan Comics has also published the subsequent Rivers of London comic series: NIGHT WITCH, BLACK MOULD, DETECTIVE STORIES, CRY FOX and WATER WEED (with more on the way). Series art is by Lee Sullivan, colours by Luis Guerrero.

What makes it worse is that Peter is going to have to leave his beloved London and gasp go out into the countryside! And when there’s trees and fields and wildlife involved, things never end well…

A couple of weeks ago, the cover for the highly-anticipated LIES SLEEPING was unveiled. You may, however, have missed that all of Ben Aaronovitch‘s Peter Grant novels (and the novella) have been re-jacketed! Above you can see all eight of the UK covers, in chronological order. We think you’ll agree that they’re rather nice, and they look great all together!

My only concerns in life were how to avoid a transfer to the Case Progression Unit — we do paperwork so real coppers don’t have to — and finding a way to climb into the panties of the outrageously perky WPC Leslie May. Then one night, in pursuance of a murder inquiry, I tried to take a witness statement from someone who was dead but disturbingly voluable, and that brought me to the attention of Inspector Nightingale, the last wizard in England.

Now I’m a Detective Constable and a trainee wizard, the first apprentice in fifty years, and my world has become somewhat more complicated: nests of vampires in Purley, negotiating a truce between the warring god and goddess of the Thames, and digging up graves in Covent Garden… and there’s something festering at the heart of the city I love, a malicious vengeful spirit that takes ordinary Londoners and twists them into grotesque mannequins to act out its drama of violence and despair.
